Post #30 "POST YOUR OWN ARTWORK!!"

These three artworks were some like artworks hat I completed in art class. The artwork with the clocks I posted last quarter was the same it just included the Simpsons faces in it.So,this artist juxtaposed that artwork. The mona lisa artwork I completed in class was just like the on in the middle except my mona lisa included a snapback hat, long finger nail, and tatoos. The last artwork was an artwork I completed at home with my mom. This last  artwork was such of an illusion to me becuase it look just the same, but its a tree standing right in front of this persons head.I believe that this artwork was a reflection of the persons head. All of these artworks were artworks of Salvador Dali who was very good at being an illusionist artist.

I believe that Salvador dali is changing the way I see art these days. This artwork is such of an illusion to me because its like artworks all over the place. He is bascially really re-contextualizing artworks into different illusion. Most of salvador dali's landscapes were illusions such as the one up top.He made his landscape a 1 point perspective and it had an horizone line out of buildings going down a line in the background.

This righte here is a basketball.A basketball is made from mostly different textures depending on the type of basketball such as a wilson, spaulding.Basketball is a team sport in which two teams of five players try to score points by throwing or "shooting" a ball through the top of a basketball hoop while following a set of rules. Basketball is one of the world's most popular and widely viewed sports. This sports gets people alot of recoginiztion.Thats one reason I love to play this sport. Many people say that they want to be in the NBA,and that they want to be like Lebron james, and Kobe bryant but what they dont know is that it takes alot of work to get to that point. You have to work hard, and strive to be the best in this sport.THESE ARE ALL THE REASONS I WANT THIS TO BE MY DREAM,AND THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO DO,AND I HAVE TO MAKE AN EFFORT AT TRYING TO BE THE BEST,AND KNOWING WHAT IT TAKES TO BE THE BEST.....MY DREAM!!!

Buy at Art.comI believe that the artist was trying to make an illusion with all of the circles inside each other. An illusion is a distortion of the senses, revealing how the brain normally organizes and interprets sensory stimulation. While illusions distort reality, they are generally shared by most people.[1] Illusions may occur with more of the human senses than vision, but visual illusions.Their "map of your mind"was trying to make the audience have to think and figure out what was going on in the artwork.

Once upon a time there lived a beautiful young cub named tre.He was very handsome, and had many friends, and he was also very popular. He lived on the greatest peak of  Mount Everest called "get rich or die trying".All of his family was rich and very wealthy. They owned almost the whole part of the mountain but, there lived one family at the bottom of Mount Everest the who's.They were the poorest family on Mount Everest, and had little to no money to stay there. There young cub bud was friends with tre and like him very much, but there parents denied that they spend time together.Tre felt very sorry for the young cub.One day something changed in tre.He left his nice gold bed and went down to the bottom of that Mountain knocked on the door, and said ohhh my poor, poor friend how about you and your family pack up and come live with me in my mansion. So the poor cub thought, and thought he told his parents and they happily excepted. So they were now family, and lived happily ever after atop"get rich or die trying".

The artwork I've created was a recontextualized Mona Lisa.I have added many features to this Mona Lisa. She has very long finger nails, yellow hair,a green Boston Celtics snap back hat,and many more.I really did this just to be creative with the artwork, because we were learning the Dada, and surrealism movements. This artwork I have created really clarifies what Dada, and surrealism means. This artwork was my idea and what I though of Dada, and surrealism.

Marcel duchamp was a French artist whose work is most often associated with the dada and surealism movements. Duchamp's output influenced the development of post-World War I Western art. He advised modern art collectors, such as peggy gunngeium and others to take an action and thse two movements. These two movements were not really art.Artist such as Marcel, created artworks while recontexualizing, and making artworks his own.One famous artwork he recontextualized which is using an old artwork and making itdiffernt and new was the mona lisa.

Dadaism  is a cultural movement that began in Zurich, Switzerland, during World war 1 and peaked from 1916 to 1922.The movement primarily involved visual arts literature, poetry, art manifestos, art theory, and and graphic design and concentrated its anti-war politics through a rejection of the prevailing standards in art through anti-art cultural works. Its purpose was to ridicule what its participants considered to be the meaninglessness of the modern world. In addition to being anti-war, Dada was also anti-bourgeois and anarchist in nature. One good example of why this artwork represents the Dada movement is because this was made by a painter that was in the Dada movement in Marcel Duchamp.Obviously,if you were in the movement of course your painting is dadaism.More over this artists painting is  graphic design in my opinion, and this is one aspect of dadaism.A second good example is that this artwork looks like it was from a theatre position,or even a play but they made it look more modern or the new era.Clearly,as the reader can see this artwork is trying to show visual; communication. In conclusion,Dadaism was this artwork, and contributed to the making of it.

The portrait making process was very interesting to me.Even though many people drawings did not come out as plan they were still good. One good example is that everyone tried there best on there drawings, but the best part was the different color schemes, and values.Obviously, this portrait was mainly made up of values, because it was the whole background that was painted in one mono chromatic color. This potrait making process was very challenging but since we gridded out both papers it really made it much easier for us to complete our drawings. As one can see that portion of the project really helped me and my classmates out.As a result this process of making the portrait was cool to me,and it helped me focus on many aspects such as staying inside the boxes you are drawing in,and it did prepare me for my drafting class that I will be hopefully taking next year.In conclusion the process of  making the portraits were very cool, and a fun experience.

Blog Post # 18

In this artwork I believed that this artist used more tint, and light colors to make this painting lighter, and unique as it is.One good example of this is to make the background the artist must have combined colors instead of having a monochromatic color.Obviously, the artist combined a light color to make the painting look the way it is.Another good example is that the artwork basically has light so the artist used more white than black because white makes a color more lighter,or greater in hue,and black makes a color darker in hue such as a shade.Clearly, the hue makes up the greatest aspect in a painting, and it catches the viewers attention all the time.Who looks at an artwork, and doesn't look at the colors? As a result an artwork is based off its color and creativity.

Blog Post # 17 Portrait Artwork: Gilbert C. Stuart

This portrait shows a picture of George Washington the first president of the United States. This artwork is a form of Social because this one dollar bill influenced people to make larger bills, and more money for the poeple in the US.It is political because there is the first president of the United States in the center, and they wouldnt have made a dollar bill with a president on it if they were not important. This artwork is religious because it helped shape our government, presidency, and  our society. This portrait is intellectual because I dont believe that there was really culture put into making a dollar bill, but I do agree that there was many traditional customs, such as a presidents code,or number. This portrait is technological because there had too be much technology into making a dollar bill with all of the codes, and symbols engraved on them. Finally, this portrait is economics well you know it is a dollar bill, and it is used in stores, and every where else you can shop.As a result this dollar bill has so many aspects, and I didnt even know it.As a result, the dollar bill is so important to the government and the society.

Blog Post # 16 Carrie Mae Weems........

This artwork relates to me because it is showing a black man with whips, and cuts all over his back. This shows how blacks were treated during slavery, and it also shows my heritage ,and where I originally came from. The scripture says black and tanned which to me means black and trained to do anything. That's just a way of the owners trying to sell there slaves to people because it saying like there already trained to do whatever you say."YOUR WHIPPED WIND OF CHANGE HOLLOWED LOW" basically means that your crying of your whippings have stoped. As a result, this picture really means much to me and,I believe Carrie Mae Weems did the painting for the purpose of how blacks were treated during slavery.

This image was really one of the best street artworks that we seen bansky do in the video. As one can see the girl looks like she is arresting the military officer or fighter.Obviously, the viewer should get a glance that many Americans may be trying to take over the government.Another good example is that Banksy painted a picture of a little girl.I wondered why he would make a girl arresting an officer?Maybe it was to make the image unique and undiscovered. As a result this image is a world wide message in the United States.I believe that it is telling people not to let Americans run over the government and they're telling the officers to stand there ground and fight.
